Senior Relationship Manager – Investments

Job description


The Senior Relationship Manager will work with clients to help them make the right decisions with their accounts and explain the financial services available to them. The key focus of this role will be the company's Trade and Project Finance investment products consistent with each investor’s risk tolerance, investment profile and investment horizon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as a relationship manager through direct contact with external agents and client ensuring a superior level of customer service
  • Provides support to external agents by co-ordination of transactions from start to end
  • Facilitates opening of new investor accounts
  • Maintenance and development of the unit’s investor portfolio/base 
  • Provide guidance to investors on company's proprietary and third party medium and long term investment opportunities
  • Research, record keeping and completion of statements
  • Clear understanding of the Know Your Client and Anti-Money Laundering compliance requirements as set forth in the Money Laundering Act
  • Clear understanding of the regulatory requirements set out under Trinidad & Tobago’s Securities Industry Act (SIA), 2012, as amended.
  • Assists in preparation of in-house marketing documents for current deals, presentations and investment packages
  • Builds effective relationships with Corporate Finance, Business Development, Operations and Risk Legal & Compliance teams
  • Reports to relevant parties

Minimum Qualifications & Experience 

  • A University Degree or equivalent qualification in Finance/Economics or a related field 
  • MBA would be an asset
  • Minimum 3 years knowledge of local and international investment products and basic knowledge of risk management
  • The ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
  • Good sales and negotiation skills
  • An interest in financial products and markets
  • Very driven, utilizes initiative and self-motivated
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong team development skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Knowledge of regional and global financial markets
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
